Confessions are available at the Cathedral at the following times:
- Every Day: 7:15 AM to 8:00 AM
- Saturday: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
- Lent: Tuesdays - March 5, 12, and 19, 2024 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Preparing Youth for First Reconciliation
In terms of preparing youth for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, according to Diocesan policies, children, usually in Grade 2, are in the preparation stage for this sacrament, and this preparation happens through our school and through our Faith Formation Program. Parent communications are sent throughout the year, and the parent(s) are very involved in the preparation of their child(ren) for this sacrament.
The catechist - in religious education classes, and the Grade 2 Cathedral School teacher(s) - through regular classroom instruction, give an in-depth presentation on all aspects of doctrine and faith for this age level.
